Thank you to everyone who joined us in Portland, Oregon from July 11-14 for the NAHN 48th Annual Conference! The scientific program was designed by the NAHN Education Committee around the theme El Futuro de Nuestra Salud: Strategic & Sustainable Solutions for Transformative Health Equity & Inclusion in Nursing. 

The NAHN Annual Conference celebrates the cultural achievements and professional expertise of our membership, and challenges attendees to expand our skillset and knowledge base. Each year the event attracts nurses, physicians, nurse educators, researchers, clinicians, case managers, healthcare innovators, and students from across the country. We are proud to offer the only nursing association meeting dedicated to exploring healthcare issues affecting the Hispanic population and proposing potential solutions.

After attending the NAHN 48th Annual Conference, participants were able to:

• Apply best practice strategies to promote the health and wellbeing of nurses across the nursing profession.
• Integrate findings based on evidence, to resolve inequities and disparities among the Hispanic population impacting outcomes within the healthcare system.
• Implement leadership skills to become change agents across the nursing profession to advance health equity.
• Synthesize current best practices in education aimed at transforming delivery of care for patients and communities.

Latino Leadership Institute (LLI)

Held on July 11, the Latino Leadership Institute was a full-day professional workshop hosted by NAHN prior to the Annual Conference programming. LLI was designed to empower current and future NAHN leaders to develop important skills and prepare to serve on volunteer boards at the local and national level.
