Jose Alejandro, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, MBA, FACHE, FAAN
Dr. Alejandro is the Chief Nurse Executive / Associate Director – Patient Care Services at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital (Chicago) and adjunct professor of Nursing at Mount St. Mary’s University at Los Angeles. Jose currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves. He was the 25th President of the Case Management Society of America in addition to serving as the NAHN’s 15th President. He is extremely active in the professional associations which include serving as Treasurer (2019-2023) of Sigma Theta Tau International; and Board Member (2019-2021) of the American Academy of Nursing and American Association of Men in Nursing (2020-2022).
Dr. Alejandro was awarded the AAMN Luther Chrisman Lifetime Achievement and CMSA’s Case Manager of the Year in 2015 and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and Virginia Henderson Fellow of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
